OUR STORY

Our goal is simple: to spend our days with good dogs and good people.

At Spruce Pup, we design products that make exploring the world with your pet easy. As designers and dog-lovers we believe that quality and function are essential to creating great products to help you enjoy every experience with your pup.

Traveling with our pack is how we prefer to spend our time, but finding gear and packing up for these trips has not always been so enjoyable. That’s why we started Spruce. We believe that products should be built to last and designed to make lives easier.

We love our dogs, and we take them with us everywhere. When we travel, we pack just as much stuff for our pups as we do for ourselves. Unable to find a convenient way to pack up for our pups, we decided to design our own solution. Not only can we get out the door in five minutes, but now when we travel, our dogs get to sleep in the same comfort that they do when we are at home.

ABOUT THE BED

The Spruce Bed was born out of frustration with existing dog beds. We started thinking about our ideal bed as a simple fold over that could become a bag to carry all our dogs’ stuff, but we didn’t want to stop there. Most beds are just big, stuffed pillows. We wanted our bed to be modular, have replaceable sheets and foam, and be able to stand up to the outdoors.

We used materials from the luggage and backpack industry to create the outer case. Inside we found a brushed faux suede that strikes the right balance of soft and cozy, but cleanable too. Then we covered the bed with smart features every pet owner needs such as leash clips, elastic stash pockets, and super durable carry handles. We want to make it easier for people to travel with their pups. With the Spruce Bed, your pups stay comfortable no matter where you go.

Hudson loves his Spruce bed for traveling! We spend most of our weekends heading up north to cottage country and it’s always a hassle to get everything all packed up for Hudson. With the Spruce bed, we easily pile everything inside his bed, zip it up, and pop it in the trunk. Plus it’s great that he has a bed he’s comfortable with for when we arrive somewhere new.
